Gilles Fauconnier

Gilles Fauconnier (pronounced [ʒil fokɔˈnje]) (born August 19, 1944) is a French linguist, researcher in cognitive science, and author, currently working in the U.S.. He is a professor at the University of California, San Diego in the Department of Cognitive Science.
His work with Mark Turner founded the theory of conceptual blending.
