Gill Arnette Byrd (born February 20, 1961 in San Francisco, California) is a former professional American football player. He is a two time Pro Bowl defensive back in 1991 and 1992 for the San Diego Chargers after graduating from San Jose State University. He was inducted into the Chargers' Hall of Fame in 1998.

Byrd began his coaching career in 2003 as a volunteer with the St. Louis Rams. He was promoted to assistant secondary coach in 2005. He was hired on February 20, 2006 by the Chicago Bears as the defensive quality control coach.[1].

His sons, Gill Byrd, Jr. and Jairus Byrd, play football at New Mexico State University and the University of Oregon, respectively.
