Gilbert Lewis (born April 6, 1941) is an American actor who is best known for being the first person to play The King of Cartoons on the 1986 children's show, Pee-wee's Playhouse. Lewis played the King of Cartoons in three episodes before being replaced by actor, William H. Marshall. He also made guest appearances on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and General Hospital.

He was born in Philadephia, Pennsylvania.
