[edit] Film

The film Rabbit-Proof Fence featuring the escape of Aboriginal children back to their homes from forced deportation by the Australian government is partly set in the settlement of Jigalong on the Northern edge of the Gibson Desert and the main characters have to traverse parts of the desert in order to arrive there.

I got a question on this the rabbit proof fence(s) run from south to north. They (the girls) left Moore River camp travelled east then north along the fence into the murchison, I know parts of the film were done around Yalgoo. I didnt think that either during the actual event or within the film did the girls go near the gibson desert. Gnangarra 16:01, 13 April 2006 (UTC)

According to HEMA maps Jiggalong is on the north western edge of the Little Sandy desert the Gibson desert is on the eastern edge of this desert Gnangarra 04:34, 3 June 2006 (UTC) hey every1 lol byebye
