Description	العربية: أحد أنواع القرود. English: A Barbary Macaque (Macaca sylvanus) by the Upper Rock Nature Reserve in Gibraltar. Although the species is commonly referred to as the "Barbary Ape", it is in fact a monkey. The Barbary Macaque population in Gibraltar is the last in the whole of the European continent. A popular belief holds that as long as Barbary Macaques exist on Gibraltar, the territory will remain under British rule. Español: Un macaco de Gibraltar (Macaca sylvanus) en Gibraltar. Es un mono del Viejo Mundo que se encuentra actualmente en algunas zonas reducidas de los Montes Atlas del norte de África y en el Peñón de Gibraltar, en el sur de la Península Ibérica. Es el único primate, aparte del hombre, que puede encontrarse actualmente en libertad en Europa, y el único miembro del género Macaca que vive fuera de Asia. Français : Un Magot (Macaca sylvanus), dans la réserve sur le rocher de Gibraltar. Cette population est la seule en liberté en Europe.
