Gibe River
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Gibe River is a tributary of the Omo River, and is located in southwest Ethiopia. Like almost all rivers in that country, it is not navigable.
Its tributaries include the Gilgel Gibe River. The southern drainage area of the Gibe includes the historic Gibe region, where a number of the former kingdoms of the Oromo and Sidama people were located.
