Gilberto Amaury de Godoy Filho, known as Giba (born December 23, 1976 in Londrina) is a Brazilian professional volleyball player. He is considered one of the best wing attackers in the world, if not the best.
Giba is known for passing through many adversities in life - he had leukemia when was a baby, injured his arm badly in his childhood and was suspended for some time in 2002, after an anti-doping test was positive for marijuana[citation needed].
