[edit] Status discredited

It's not said how and why. (although it'd be easy to conjecture.)--Marhawkman 17:01, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Deletion possibility?

I'm considering putting this page under deletion. The scientific material is under Palaeeudyptinae and hence is redundant here, and there is little actual vefiable content on this page. Please add comments as to why this should be saved, or put references in the article. Olin 22:03, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

I'd suggest trying to round up references and move what's move-worthy to a section under Palaeeudyptinae, then exchanging this page with a redirect. Dysmorodrepanis 09:34, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
Alternatively, why not re-edit this to be a Category:Hoax article, cross-red'd to the Palaee-whatever, since the hoax itself clearly got "notable" cover in the contemtporay press ? The literary refs could be left, as they provide plausible seed-corn from which the hoax was grown. -- SockpuppetSamuelson 11:40, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
The Crypto-crew should decide this. It's their critter, after all. :) Dysmorodrepanis 16:37, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
Articles don't "belong" to any one group, really... But it's really poor quality article, and there are "real" gp's .Olin 17:44, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
