In the Dungeons and Dragons fantasy role-playing game, the Giant frog is a magical beast; an enormous version of the normal frog. It basically resembles a regular frog (though it actually more closely resembles a toad), only with a greatly increased size, growing up to 3 feet long and 2 feet tall. It is a dark green color, and it is covered in warts and boils. Covering its skin is a foul smelling ooze.
Giant frogs, for the most part, dwell solitarily in deep marshes and swamps, with habits fairly similar to that of normal frogs (or toads), and feasting on Giant insect (Dungeons & Dragons)s. They attack by applying their poison ooze to their tongue and then whipping prey with it. Though they usually do this purely to hunt giant insects, they will also do this to fight off a poaching humanoid. The poison causes gradual skin infection, and kills if injected into the blood. Sometimes, Giant frogs are tamed by Bullywugs to act as attack-beasts and sometimes even mounts.
Giant frogs cannot talk, and they are regarded as neutral in alignment.
