Gian Pyres (born Gianpiero Piras) is the guitarist for death metal band Gorerotted. Previous to this, he was a long-term guitarist in the British Extreme Metal band Cradle of Filth, from 1996 to 2002. He has recorded with Cradle of Filth on 6 studio releases: Dusk and Her Embrace, Cruelty and the Beast, From the Cradle to Enslave, Midian, Lovecraft & Witch Hearts and Bitter Suites to Succubi. Other bands he has played with include Solstice, Dragonlord, Christian Death, Ship of Fools and Extreme Noise Terror. He also appeared as a guest guitarist on the Vampyrisme album by the Italian symphonic black metal band Theatres des Vampires.
