Gia Lam Airbase

Vietnam has two major military airfields used by the PAVN Air force.

Gia Lam Airbase is one of two major military airbases in Vietnam, but it is being used as a civilian airport. The airport pre-dates the Vietnam war and likely built by the French.

Located in Hanoi and is one of two airports in the city.

Little information is known about the airport, as it is a military airport. The base has a 6,700 ft paved runway.

The base is home to MiG-21 fighters and Kamov Ka-28 helicopters of the PAVN Air force and stored in revetments.
