  9. Maitreya - Added a large section about "rebellious Maitreya sects".
  10. Northern Praying Mantis - added new sections and expanded old ones, added pictures, cut down on un-needed material and redundancies, and created an info box.
  11. Shaolin Soccer - Corrected mistakes, added pictures and new sections about media, and filled out the description a little more.
  12. The Mad Monk - Expanded it from a single paragraph.
  13. Xian (Chinese immortal) - contribute.
  14. Yue Fei - 99% rewrite and lots of more info and pics. But it's still a horrible article!

I usually edit pages dealing with asian history, culture, and religion. I also edit pages dealing with the western world as well. I guess you could say I have a general interest in just about anything you can think of.

[edit] About ME

I am an atheist, but I respect and study the various aspects of all world religions. If I was religious, I would say every god from every religion are just smaller facets of a much larger whole--"one God, many faces". However, I think the following two quotes sum up my feelings towards religion:

"The being incapable of moral weakness is beyond the need of 'spiritual guidance.' "

"Respect the gods and buddhas, but do not rely on them."

I was a paratrooper in the US Army 82nd Airborne Division from September 11, 2000 - December 20, 2003 and participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

The Song is my favorite Chinese Dynasty. I also like this time period because the first three Crusades took place. The noted archer Zhou Tong and his pupil General Yue Fei are my two favorite historical figures to come out of the Song Dynasty. Actually, the fictional Zhou Tong is my favorite. There is very very little material available on the historical Zhou Tong.

I plan on translating the Wuxia novel Tiě Bèi Jīn Dāo Zhōu Tóng Zhuàn (Chinese: 铁臂金刀周侗传 - "Iron Arm, Golden Sabre: The Biography of Zhou Tong") and the Lianhuanhua-style comic book Zhou Tong Zhuan Qi (周侗传奇 – "The Legend of Zhou Tong") into English when my Chinese greatly improves. I am currently gathering material for a research paper on Zhou's historical, folklore, literature, and martial arts references. In addition, I am writing an historical fiction novel set in 11th and 12th century Jerusalem, Fustat, and Song Dynasty China.
