Talk:Ghost of Christmas Present

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I have a copy of the unabridged A Christmas Carol, and this spirit is named The Ghost of Christmas Present, not the Spirit of Christmas Present. Can we agree that this needs to be changed? Canonblack 03:10, 7 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 1800?

The Ghost of Christmas Present would only exist for a single Christmas, and die on the stroke of midnight. The 1,800 previous ghosts of Christmas Present were his brothers.

People did not observe this holiday on the 25th until about 300 years after the alleged birth of Jesus of Nazareth, and J of N could not have been born after 4 BCE.

This is true. But the facts of the matter don't change what Dickens wrote. Daibhid C (talk) 22:50, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Original Story versus Adaptations

I made some changes to the article to make it conform to Dickens' own text. While there are many memorable Ghosts of Chrstmas Present in film and stage adaptations, I feel this article should reflect Dickens' own creation. MacPhilbin (talk) 14:17, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
