Ghoulstock
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ghoulstock is a one-day festival of independent, underground film, music, and art that has been held bi-annually in South Jersey by the Ghoulstock (Collective) since 2004[1]. Chris Galanti has for the entire history of the festival been the Master of Ceremonies, and continues to be a comic-book personality on the East Coast, hosting the long-running podcast AntiFanboy. The Ghoulstock grounds were originally at the Bellmawr Little League Hall in Bellmawr, NJ.
Held the third weekend in August, and the weekend before New Years Eve[2] this DIY cultural festival attracts more than 300 mostly young adults who share, join together, and perform the myriad forms of music and art one expects (and with many surprises) of a festival. People travel across the Northeast to return to this annual event so that they can play again. Ghoulstock is completely volunteer collective[3].
Ghoulstock Summer Olympics 2008 is tentatively being schemed.
