[edit] Synopsis
Two brothers named Harry and Alex Altman are sent to a summer camp by their parents; Camp Spirit Moon. Throughout the story, they suspect the children there are unlike ordinary children, as they play practical jokes on each other that should be extremely painful. (i.e., a girl puts her hand into a fire, a boy has a tentpole go through his foot.) Finally, they see a girl's head fall off. One night, Lucy tells Harry the truth of Camp Spirit Moon: All the campers are dead and everyone there is a ghost. Since Harry and Alex are the only living humans at the camp, all the campers must escape by possessing them. Lucy tries to get inside Harry's body, but Harry fights her off. Harry tells Alex about the camp and escape through the woods, where they almost get eaten by a monster hiding in the forest floor (Alex and Harry defeat the monster by chanting that the monster isn't real). Harry and Alex are soon confronted by everyone in Camp Spirit Moon and captured so they can be possessed by the ghosts of the summer camp. All of the campers end up fighting each other for the chance to possess Harry and Alex and end up vanishing. Harry and Alex finally escape the camp and head to a highway to get home. That's when Harry notices that Alex (who has been established as a very good singer in the beginning of the story) is humming off-key. From inside Alex's body, Elvis (Alex's friend from Camp Spirit Moon, known to be a very bad singer) begs Harry not to tell anyone that he possessed Harry's brother.
