Ghorewahas (or Gorewaha) are Kachwaha Rajputs. "They say that Raja Man Singh , sixth in descent from Kush (one of the sons of Lord Ram), had two sons Kachwaha and Hawaha, and that they are of the lineage of Hawaha (161).They used to live in the districts of Hosiarpur and Jalandher before partition. A lot of them became muslims and they had to migrate to Pakistan. The famous chief justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Chaudhary belong to this clan. They use Rana as their family title.
