Ghassan Tueni

Ghassan Tueni (1926 - ) is a Lebanese March 14 Alliance Anti-Syrian Beirut MP and publisher of An-Nahar newspaper. He is also the father of assassinated Lebanese politician, MP and journalist Gebran Tueni. His first wife, Nadia Tueni, was one of Lebanon's greatest 20th century poets. He was also a member of the SSNP,the syrian socialist nationalist party ,for many years ... He held cabinet posts in Lebanon such as the Foreign Minister and Education Minister in the 70s. He was also Lebanon ambassador to the UN. Mr Tueni has writen many books and writes a weekly article (on Mondays) in his Annahar newspaper.
