Ghanpur (Station) is a village and a mandal in Warangal district in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India. It was formerly called as Ganapavaram. It was named as Ganapavaram after the name of Kakatiya king Ganapati Deva. In the generation of time line, the name changed as Ganapuram and then Ghanapur and now Ghanpur. It was named as Station Ghanpur when Nizam State Railways constructed railway from Secunderabad to Kazipet via Ghanpur. Station Ghanpur was not very much known until Mr. Kadiyam Srihari has been elected from this constituency. He has done lots of develoment and so many good works which brought this constituency onto Andhra Pradesh map.
