Ghanghro or sometimes referred to as Ghanghra is a tribe or a caste of Sindhi origin. It is sub-caste of Samma – a major tribe who ruled Sindh. These people live in northern part of Sindh province of Pakistan, mainly in villages Bhai Khan Ghanghro & Mehar Ghanghro near Ratodero in district Larkana and in villages of Kandyaro in Khairpur District and also in Hyderabad and Meher, Dadu.
Prominent personalities of this tribe are the Late Sardar Pir Bux Khan Ghanghro, Late Ghulam Rasool Ghanghro,Ali Hassan Ghanghro, Ali Nawaz Ghanghro and Ali Anwar Ghanghro
