I do not know how. When i edit people delete so i wanted an expert to do it!!! how do we get sound clips?

Maybe if you ask Hotwiki he might upload a sample for you, as he has uploaded all the Madonna song samples. Also, if you want to add to the article, when you make an edit, please include a summary of what you did. -- Underneath-it-All 01:26, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cover

That is a fake cover - it needs to be removed.

[edit] Merge

Is this article relevant to Wikipedia as the single has yet to be released? Please provide citations or else I'm afraid it is going to have to be merged into Confessions on a Dance Floor. —Eternal Equinox | talk 15:09, 11 March 2006 (UTC)

Of cores it’s relevant; It details a single that is likely to be released in the near future (2 Months?). Absolutely no different to pages detailing up and coming films (Ice Age 2: The Meltdown), software (Windows Vista), books ( Harry Potter: Book 7) etc. --UkNews 23:37, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
Films are different — they are announced sometimes a year in advance, however, when an album is going to be released six months from now, the third single is not chosen that far in advance. —Eternal Equinox | talk 17:38, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
It makes no difference when it’s chosen; the point of fact is that "Get Together" has been chosen and will be released in the near future. It would be hypocritical to remove this page and not others detailing future releases, whatever the medium. --UkNews 14:21, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
Please see Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not#Wikipedia is not a crystal ball for more details. —Eternal Equinox | talk 00:55, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
To quote; "Individual scheduled or expected future events should only be included if the event is notable and almost certain to take place" - Warner Bros records have confirmed the single release, therefore it falls under the "almost certain to take place" category. Further more the article comes under this section "Of course, we do and should have articles about notable artistic works, essays, or credible research that embody predictions" - Madonna is an extremely notable artist in the music industry with great interest surrounding her work. This article will only become more popular once the single starts receiving regular airplay - like on BBC Radio 2 today - therefore it would be pointless and contravene that article by deleting it. --UkNews 22:43, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
I am not the one writing the rules here. I was merely following Wikipedia guidlines. Since this website covers all subjects possible, this doesn't make Madonna significantly more important than The All-American Rejects or Goldfrapp. —Eternal Equinox | talk 21:36, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
It has nothing to do with Madonna being more or less important than anyone else. The article you presented me with clearly states "notable artists", of which Madonna is one - Therefore you are not following the guidelines. Considering the page is here in the first place and clearly receiving attention and being tweaked regularly, the users of Wikipedia feel it is also "notable" and "relevant". There is even an official "future single" Wikipedia tag - Why would this exist if it contravened guidelines? --UkNews 21:38, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
You know, you could still make an article for a song even it's not a single as long there is informations about the song. --hottie 17:08, 9 April 2006 (UTC)

HMV UK confirms that the single will be released on May 29th: http://www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/displayProductDetails.do?ctx=280;-1;-1;-1&sku=498849 Rimmers 15:50, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

Since there is a source, the article is allowed to remain. Otherwise, it would have been merged. —Eternal Equinox | talk 20:47, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
At last! --UkNews 12:44, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] What is "Australian Hot 30"

I live in AU & I'm not sure what's being reffered to here.. It's not even been released yet! —Preceding unsigned comment added by -Anthony- (talkcontribs)

I'm not sure what it is either...also, shouldn't only official singles & dance charts be included in the charts section? -- Underneath-it-All 16:08, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, some include iTunes charts as well though. —Preceding unsigned comment added by -Anthony- (talkcontribs)

Lowie?? —Preceding unsigned comment added by -Anthony- (talkcontribs)

Personally I feel it should be removed, as nobody really knows what the chart is. Only official charts and iTunes charts should be included. Charts from radio stations should not be included, as their are too many of them. -- Underneath-it-All 15:36, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] South Africa Hot 30?

Just wondering if this is the official chart. I tried to search online for the official chart, but only found this. -- Underneath-it-All 18:03, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

I don't think that is the official chart. Listed at United World Singles Chart: "The South African sales and airplay chart is merged into one to form the official singles chart which is published weekly". From what I've seen, "Get Together" has yet to enter the record chart. —Eternal Equinox | talk 21:23, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

WWW.5FM.CO.ZA YOU WILL FIND THE OFFICIAL CHART

[edit] "iTunes albums & EP chart"

Which iTunes? USA? Or is there a global one..?

U.S. one. -- Underneath-it-All 15:26, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
I'm a little iffy on including iTunes charts. iTunes is just one of many retail and online stores that contribute to Nielsen Soudscan, which in turn is used to ccalculate "official" charts. Besides, aren't iTunes charts updated daily? How can a chart peak be tracked if it changes day-to-day? To me it's kinda like including "Barnes & Noble" chart. -- eo 21:30, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
I understand what you mean. Plus after all those iTunes charts were added it just looked messy. -- Underneath-it-All 01:21, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cleanup tag

Just curious about the cleanup tag.... Any particular reason why it was put on this article? Which section(s) are being questioned? I don't see any comments about it in this Talk Page. -- eo 02:11, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

Well, it needs a clean up. It's another bloated Madonna single page, loaded with irrevelant information all written in a fan page style Paul75 23:03, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Get-together-alternative.JPG

Image:Get-together-alternative.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
