"Get Down on It" is a song recorded by the jazz/funk/R&B/pop band Kool & The Gang on their album Something Special in 1981. The song reached number 10 on the Billboard charts, displaying some of the characteristics of a blend of disco and funk, with the title of the song repeating continuously.
The song was released in the UK on the British charts on 19 December 1981 on the record label De-Lite and reached number 3, their highest chart hit in the UK at that time. It spent a total of 12 weeks in the charts before drifting out of sight. Ten years later it was re-released in the UK charts on the record label Mercury but only reached number 69 and was on the chart for only one week.

- It was remixed in 1996 by the electronic/Eurodance group 24th Street.
- The 1997 single We Just Wanna Party with You by Jermaine Dupri and Snoop Doggy Dogg, featured in the Men in Black soundtrack, was inspired by the Kool & the Gang Single.
- It was also remixed in 2000 by the Italian electronic/eurodance group Eiffel 65.
- The Timbaland song featuring Magoo, Boardmeeting, contains a sample of the song.
- The song has been covered by Peter André, Blue, Lil' Kim, Ernie Smith, and by Wayman Tisdale on his jazz album Way Up! (2006).
