Welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Gerald Farinas, Wikipedia Administrator and System Operator at your service. I've been a project participant since May 17, 2004, becoming administrator on September 19 of that year. Currently, my focus is on improving Wikipedia's image as a sourced reference for all your research needs. In other words, I want to make sure the information you get on Wikipedia comes from reputable origins through stringent application of source citation in our articles. Articles may be labeled with citation stickers.
As a Wikipedia Administrator and System Operator, I am empowered to act on the following requests by editors: article deletion and undeletion, category deletion and undeletion, page protection, remedy vandalism, move articles and redirect pages, block and unblock users and enforce arbitration rulings. I am however not in a capacity to attempt to resolve disputes, remedy bugs, create administrators and stewards, reassign edits and make name changes or delete accounts.
As a matter of conflict of interest, I am not empowered to make any editing decisions on particular articles of events and people which I am, or have been, a close active participant in that event or person's life, such as articles on Alan Keyes and Maya Marcel-Keyes.
