I think the categorization at the end of the article is wrong on several scores: First of all, Heard died in 1971 — so why classify this biography under "1974 deaths"? (That seems laughable.) Secondly, I believe he was neither an "English Hindu" nor a "convert to Hinduism"; rather, he espoused Vedanta which is a philosophy that evolved in India — not really a religion, but a worldview that is identical with or very similar to a number of "idealist" or "mystical" philosophies of the West (also possibly found elsewhere in the world).
