Information about Kildare's support of Perkin Warbeck the pretender leading to his removal from power have been deleted on the ground that they are downright incorrect and anachronistic. Perkin Warbeck's plot occurred 20 years before the 9th Earl took office, under his father's regime. His father was removed from office temporarily, though he never outright supported Warbeck as he had Simnel years prior.

The 9th Earl of Kildare was removed from office for supposedly supporting rebellion against England and aiding foreign invaders in the wake of Henry VIII's controversial denouncement of the Catholic Church. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.57.35.23 (talk) 17:38, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
