[edit] Licensing

Can be considered public domain as a (seized) holding of the US government available in NARA see [2], also available in the Imperial war museum (UK). This is from Die Deutsche Wochenschau newsreel 473 (September 1939), copyright may be claimed by Transit Film GmbH in Germany, therefore the PD status may not be valid outside of the US and (possibly the UK).

  • The {{PD-USGov-NARA}}-possibility is deprecated. Alex Spade 13:26, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
  • {{PD-US}} Not PD-US. There is not precise information about the author of this photowork. It could be created by both German or Soviet photographer with equal probability. In first case it will be copyrighted until the end of 2009 or more, the hole in American law is inapplicable rule in this case: there is no changes of copyright time in German law for such cases. Rationale: image showing officers of both countries interacting peacefully is important in illustrating content of several articles related to German-Soviet cooperation in that period.

Articles for deletion This image was nominated for deletion on 2007 July 13. The result of the discussion was Keep.
