[edit] Summary
This is a photograph of Lim Chong Eu and Syed Hussein Alatas (Lim is the man on the left being hoisted, and Syed Hussein is the bearded fellow), celebrating Parti Gerakan Rakyat Malaysia's victory in the Malaysian general election, 1969. A celebratory rally held by their party indirectly caused the May 13 Incident. This image is asserted to be fair use because it is a unique photograph of a unique event, is sufficiently low-resolution so as to not cost Gerakan profit, and the events depicted by the photograph are critically discussed by Wikipedia. This image was obtained from the official Gerakan website; the copyright presumably belongs to the Gerakan party, as there is no attribution given for the image.
