Gerry Cowper

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Geraldine Cowper, also known as Gerry Cowper, Geri Cowper, Gerri Cowper or Gerry Cooper born 23 June 1958), is an English actress who is best known for playing Rosie Miller in EastEnders. Ironically just as David Spinx who played her on-screen partner Keith Miller appeared in small roles on EastEnders before playing Keith, she had played a small role in 2002 as Lindsay, mother of a schiznophrenic called Matt. She is also remembered for her role as Lucy Hacker, daughter of Jim, in the BBC comedy series Yes Minister, although she only appeared in one episode. Cowper also played Clare France, the youngest of the female triumvirate in the original radio version of After Henry, also starring Prunella Scales and Joan Sanderson. (In the later television version, whilst Scales and Sanderson reprised their roles, Clare was played by Janine Wood as Cowper was too old to play a teenager in the visual medium.) She appeared in two episodes of Only Fools and Horses, Tea for Three and The Frog's Legacy, and also appeared in Bachelor Father. She has appeared in two films: Alfred Hitchcock's Frenzy (uncredited) and the cult classic The Wicker Man.

On 9 May 2006 it was revealed that her estranged husband Mark Foley faced life imprisonment after pleading guilty to armed robbery.[1]
