Gernot Pachernigg grew up in Lassnitzhöhe, he always was a big musical talent, especially in the genre of Soul.
In the age of 15 Gernot won some local music contests.
In summer 2006 he overcame every pre-casting in Starmania and reached the final show.
For a long time, he had the record, with his version of Have I Told You Lately (original by Van Morrison) with 9,0 studio audience voting .
From show to show, the "voting-numbers", got worse and worse, but he got into the last episode, where he became 3rd-placed.
