Germania Land
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Germania Land is a peninsula in North-East Greenland between Skærfjord and Dove Bay. It was named by Ludvig Mylius-Erichsen, leader of the Danmark expedition, to commemorate its discovery by the second German North Polar Expedition in 1869 on the vessel Germanis and as a compliment to Alfred Wegener, the German member of the Danmark expedition.
