Gergely Salim is a Danish taekwondo practitioner.
He started taekwondo at the age of 9. He trained with his brother Josef Salim at Gladsaxe Taekwondo Klub near Copenhagen. In 1991, Gergely Salim won a gold medal in the finweight division at the World Taekwondo Championships in Athens. Next year, he participated in the 1992 Summer Olympics in Sydney and claimed a gold medal (taekwondo at the 1992 Olympics was held as a demonstration sport). He also won three consecutive European Championships from 1990-1994.
His older brother, Josef Salim, is also a 3-time European Champion and a World Championship medalist (silver in 1991).
