Gerard O'Mahony

Gerard Anthony O'Mahony (b. March 17, 1979) is an Australian boxer who qualified in 2008 for his second Olympics.

Counterpuncher O'Mahony started boxing at the age of 16. In 2004 he qualified for the Athens Olympics but lost his first bout to Viktor Polyakov. In 2005 he beat Jarrod Fletcher on his way to the the Australian title. In 2006 he was beaten by eventual southpaw winner Bongani Mwelase in the first round of the Commonwealth Games.
