Geraldo Washington Regufe Alves (born November 8, 1980 in Póvoa de Varzim) is a Portuguese footballer that currently plays for AEK Athens FC in the Greek Superleague. His brother, Bruno Alves, is a former AEK player, and both are central defenders.
Geraldo signed for AEK Athens on June 5, 2007 from F.C. Paços de Ferreira in Portugal.[1]
In a September 20 UEFA Cup match against Red Bull Salzburg, Alves scored his first AEK goal, in a 3-0 home win (3-1 on aggregate).
