Gerald N. Lund

Gerald Niels Lund (born 12 September 1939) has been a general authority of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) since 2002. During his tenure, he has lived in Solihull, England. He now lives in Alpine, Utah and serves in Salt Lake City. Lund is a member of the church's Second Quorum of the Seventy.
Lund is also a popular LDS fiction writer, having written the The Work and the Glory series as well as the Kingdom and the Crown series among other books. Lund and his wife have seven children, 22 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Gerald N. Lund's wife is named Lynn. He has written lyrics to many of the songs that she composes.
