[edit] National Attention
Henderson first gained national attention after a game against the University of North Carolina on March 4, 2007. In the final moments of the contest, Henderson went up for a block and accidently fore armed UNC star Tyler Hansbrough in the face, breaking his nose in the process. Henderson was immediately ejected from the game and suspended by the NCAA for one game. A firestorm ensued as to whether the incident was a cheap shot, it caused an uproar among UNC fans, and it boiled the blood of the rivalry between Duke and UNC. He also scored the gamewinning fingerroll in the NCAA Tournament game against Belmont.
