Gera, Greece

Gera or Yera (Greek: Γέρα/Γera) is a municipality in the Greek island of Lesvos. It is located in the southeastern part of the island, on the southeast side of the Bay of Gera. It has a land area of 86.350 km². Its population was 6,985 at the 2001 census. Its municipal seat is the town of Pappádhos (pop. 1,510). Its largest towns are Skópelos (1,768), Plakádhos, Palaiókipos (1,248), Mesaghrós (828), and Pérama (633).
