Category talk:Germans of Sicilian descent

In the case of Frederick II, why is it necessarily a German of Sicilian descent, rather than a Sicilian of German descent (recalling that he was born of a German father, and a siculo-norman mother, whose family had lived in Sicily for a century at the time of her birth). Also recalling that Frederick barely spent any part of his life outside of the Kingdom of Sicily (which extended to the papal states at the time). It's not a big deal, but I'm just curious about the logic of this moniker. πιππίνυ δ - (dica) 02:50, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
