[edit] Now then, now then!

Wot's all this 'ere, then, young George?

I've been looking at your contribs, mate, and you've been doing a sterling job! I only asked you to look out for vandals and you've been applying the spit and polish by the look of things. Well done! Great stuff.

I love your list of actions needed especially that redlink section. See you. All the best. --BlackJack | talk page 15:16, 26 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Redlinks and Ratings

Hi George. I've been having a look at these lists as we were saying.

I've decided to leave stubs alone for now because they are less urgent than the rest and will anyway get picked up moving forward. So, I've pinched your attention list, most of which is about referencing, and your redlink list. I've got a separate list of items that need ratings but it excludes all the season and tour articles - it concentrates on the people, places, teams and events. I'll make a start later today.

Once again, thanks very much for all the brilliant work you've done while I've been away.

By the way, I was reading Haygarth's piece about Tufton and immediately above it was a comment that R Whitehead was another of these pseudonym users. Apparently he often called himself Long, but I can't say I recall Long as a prominent name. I think I might look in the old Times issues for Tufton. As you say, I bet he had TB like Keats. --BlackJack | talk page 10:00, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Philately WikiProject

You are listed as a participant in the Philately WikiProject. Today I have created an inactive list consisting of those participants who have not made any philatelic edits for more than six months. I was going to use a 3 month cut off point but felt generous. You are not one of those editors, so I have not moved you and you remain as an active participant. If you are still active on Wikipedia but are inactive in philately please let us know by moving yourself to the inactive list. However, we really need more active participants for all philatelic articles. The Philately Portal has been running for some time and I am doing occasional updates, Postage stamps of Ireland is a candidate for featured article (that would be the first philatelic article), and several of the redlinks have been filled but we need more activity so if you are around please participate. Thanks for the work you have done in the past even if you have not done anything recently. Cheers ww2censor 01:07, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

I fear that you should put me on the inactive list as I do not expect to use Wikipedia for much longer and, while that lasts, I will be helping out on the cricket project. Sorry. Kind regards. --GeorgeWilliams 19:05, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
So are you Wikified out? I do see your cricket edits alright. If you do return, maybe you can do some philatelic work and place yourself into the active list at that time. Maybe you need a Wikibreak - there is a tag for your userpage and talk page - {{Wikibreak}} if you think you will return. I sometimes think we need one. Cheers and thanks ww2censor 21:39, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fylde Rugby Club

Further to your edit removing the unreferenced tag on the above article with the edit summary saying, "removed the source request as the main source is already there: the club's official site", I should point out that whilst the clubs website is included on the article, it is only as an External link and not used to veriy any content on the article. I have restored the tag because the article still needs sources and in particular inline references as it still remains unsourced as it has been since the tag was placed on the article in April 2007. Please see WP:CS, WP:VER and WP:RS. Whilst the club's website can be used as a source, it should not be used as the sole source. Third party sources will also be required. The Blackpool Gazette (and in particular the Lytham St Annes Express will have numerous online articles that can be used as sources. Thank you. ♦Tangerines♦·Talk 16:05, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
