[edit] Category:Lists of films
Hi there. Can you explain your reasoning behind removing so many articles from the Category:Lists of films? That category seems to be a reasonable size to me. If the category was getting overfull then a better idea might be to create subcategories. But, to me, even if the category was very large, removing articles from the category is not a good idea, the articles belong in the category, so why remove them? Qutezuce 03:34, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
Hello, All the items I removed were placed in subcategories of the 'Lists of Films category'.
All Lists of films by language were moved to 'Films by Language', which I had made a subcategory of Lists of Films.
All Films by City or Country were moved to 'Category:Lists of films based on Location', which is also now a subcategory of Lists of films.
True it wasn't overly large, but it was taking up 2 pages when I started, which makes it more difficult to peruse.

[edit] Redirects
Please don't put {{4CC}} or other disambiguation page templates into an abbreviational redirect page, as you did for NCHS and WFMH. There is {{R from abbreviation}} for that. Also, any templates in a redirect must be on the first line - see the list of templates for use in redirect pages for more information. Thanks! Hi! There will be a Wikipedia Meetup in Philadelphia on 4 November. If you're interested in coming, RSVP by editing Wikipedia:Meetup/Philadelphia 2 to reflect the likelihood of your being able to attend. If you have any questions, feel free to ask CComMack's. Hopefully, we'll all see you (and each other) on the 4th! --evrik 19:37, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Caca
No it is not. WP:NOT is quite clear about dictionary definitions. Furthermore, WP:MOSDAB, which is actually more applicable here, has a section explicitly advising not to include dictionary definitions on disambiguation pages. For that, we have Wiktionary, and caca already has a link to it. Please let me know if you have further questions.—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); 15:56, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

- Come now, George; contrary to what you implied in your edit summary, my post here was not vandalism. It could be argued that it wasn't constructive, since it was really just a poke in the ribs to keep you from getting too serious about my light-hearted mockery of the Death threat article. Let's not get too dramatic, okay? -Eric (talk) 22:24, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Silent Coup.png
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Silent Coup.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. [edit] Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.
P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot 19:01, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] What to believe
While I totally agree with you that talk pages are not the place for debate on the issue, let alone drivel, I re-inserted the ideots stuff, as wikipedia shouldn't be censored on talk pages. Larklight (talk) 20:00, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Politicization of Science
Dear George100,
This entry represents some of my core thinking over the past twenty years of my life as a secondary science educator and a graduate student. Ultimately it has been quite well regarded. Do you understand what I am saying? Can you give me clear examples of extreme POV?
I refuse to be called an evolutionist or a proponent of intelligent design. Instead, I claim to be a voice for stark intellectual honesty.
Do you believe that evolutionary theory, absent a theistic tradition, would be presented so forcefully to young minds or effectively placed beyond falsifiability?
My point is not that ID is valid, but that evolution as we are required to present it in the classroom, amounts to junk science in itself. That dissenting opinions (by experts) and a body of contrary evidence may not be presented, and that this has resulted from a legal ruling, is a great example of the other side of this issue. In both cases, science is politicized--and I really believe that we are all the worse for it.
I will gladly consider incorporating any suggestions you may have for me. I am glad to modify my entry to adhere to the standards of Wikipedia. Sincerely, Scseig (talk) 22:44, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
