[edit] Minkowski spacetime
Geometer -
I have been waiting for some time for there to be an effort to update the introduction to special relativity, and it has always been criticized as being was too technical. Now that effort is being done, and I am happy to be a part of it.
I would love to knwo why you are so enamoured with Minkowski and his work, to the point of constantly playing down Einstein as the creator of relativity theory. That in and of itself is not proper. Also, you seem to have no sense of how the article looks to people seeking an introduction into SR. I really sails over people's heads even now. Hopefully the new lead now describes the theory in a nutshell, but the body of that article has to be rewritten and the Miknowski stuff either removed or relegated to the end. BTW - Even Einstein saw Minkowski spacetime as being advanced materail. That is why what you cited in one of your edits was chapter 17 of Einstein's book on relativity theory and not something like chapter 5 (or less). --EMS | Talk 15:30, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
