[edit] MfD nomination of User:Geoffory Jones
User:Geoffory Jones, a page you created, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Geoffory Jones and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). - Re your message: No, I did not laugh at your "autobiography". I found it very disturbing and it has been deleted again. Please do not recreate it. Thank you. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 17:23, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Notability of Geoffory jones
A tag has been placed on Geoffory jones requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Truthanado (talk) 01:10, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
- As stated above, an autobiography is in violation of Wikipedia policy. Truthanado (talk) 01:10, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] I shouldn't be blocked
I'm just writing about myself in third-person since my friends were going to anyway besides I'm 23 let me do what I want because I'm a college football player, scholar, adult, and an Iraq War veteren so just let me contiue making an article about myself.
- If you are truly a war veteran, I salute you. Now let me explain something to you. In order to get a review (I can't do it since I drew the lot as blocking admin this time), you have to make a proper unblock request. This will be reviewed by an uninvolved admin that will look at your edit history and make a determination. In order to write about yourself you have to read a few pages to understand how this works. You can start with WP:NOTABILITY and What Wikipedia is not. If after reading ,this you determine you still want to write about yourself but cannot do it in WP, I would suggest to start a Blog. Many of us have one. It is free and you can say whatever you want in it. -- Alexf42 01:45, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
