[edit] Additional map sources
I created {{Geolinks-CanadaMore-cityscale}} as a test template which would add some additional map sources to the existing {{Geolinks-Canada-cityscale}} template. I also changed links in the test template for Yahoo! Maps and Google Maps to their Canadian counterparts. I have not changed {{Geolinks-Canada-cityscale}} yet since I didn't want to change the existing template without discussing the changes with other editors. Do the proposed changes make sense? --Eastmain 01:29, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
Few comments: - We need to check all the map sources for coverage of Canada. For instance - Windows Live Local don't cover Canada nearly as good as US and makes no sence while Google Earth is here. - Wikimapia is not just another satellite imagenery source - it deserves the first position in the list. - We should limit number of map sources to reasonable 3-5 and each should have some added value, not just "yet another street map". Top level item itself is a link to "all possible maps" (tools.wikimedia.de) Aou 12:06, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
