Template:Georgia counties/doc
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Template:Georgia_counties links the county names in the U.S. state of Georgia. The template was designed for 3 types of usage:
- as the bottom nav-box on any county article;
- as a stacked nav-box (with others), allowing the heading to be condensed by passing capital / flag_size parameters; or
- as a stand-alone navigation page to select counties (as a short table box with little additional text outside the box).
Because of the 3 multiple uses, the template displays a simple navigation-box without displaying an extended description.

[edit] Usage
The template allows passing optional parameters:
-
-
-
-
-
- {{Georgia counties}}
- {{Georgia counties|capital= |flag_size=75x20px}}
-
-
-
-
[edit] Parameters
The template has optional parameters, intended to customize the heading, such as when stacked after other nav-boxes:
- capital=name - when the name is blank, the line about the state capital is omitted from the nav-box heading (default: Atlanta).
- flag_size=75x20px - sets the size (width-x-height) of the flag image (upper-left corner) to shorten the title-box (default: 75x44px).
Parameters are passed as unquoted text, separated by vertical-bars ("|") also called pipe symbols.
[edit] Examples
Typically the template would be invoked by just the name: {{Georgia counties}}, inserted near the bottom of an article. However, when used in tandem, following other nav-boxes, the heading can be reduced by adding extra parameters:
-
-
-
-
- {{Georgia counties|capital= |flag_size=75x20px}}
-
-
-
Those parameters cause the title-box to be smaller, omitting the line for the state capital (showing only "State of Georgia counties").
