A Geosphere disambiguation page might be in order, to distinguish the geology and geometry/computer graphics meanings. The computer graphics version of the geosphere could be aliased to a Geodesic_sphere further clarification. There is currently a Geodesic_dome article, which holds some geodesic sphere content, but is mostly architecture-centric, and tagged for a need of clarification... to sum it up there is a little bit of reorganization to be done around the subject. I'm personally not versed enough in wiki subtelties to tackle the administrative part, but could help with fleshing out once the articles are in place. 82.229.207.75 16:12, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Generalization

Changes were made to generalize the term geosphere, retaining the geology references and putting them in perspective relative to the other less condensed states of matter. My main objective here was to define the term "geopause' in the context of the outer limits of the geosphere. To do this, one has to admit that the ocean, atmosphere, and plasmasphere-ionosphere are part of the Earth, and then ask "where does the Earth end and the Sun begin?" This was motivated by a misuse of the term "geopause" that occurred in the "Solar Wind" article, where it was mistakenly identified with the magnetopause or bow shock. This was pointed out in the Eos Transactions of the Am. Geophys. Un. on 13 March 2007, by Mark Moldwin of UCLA.
