[edit] Date?

Ms. Pope was awarded the Royal Red Cross by Queen Victoria in 1903? I do believe that Queen Victoria died in 1901, so how is this possible? Esseh 06:23, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

Well, Victoria was an exceptional person... Seriously though, that's a good question. The article on Pope associated with the Valiants Memorial includes the Queen Victoria info, but it doesn't seem to be possible. I've deleted it - if there is a good explanation (maybe 1903 is wrong?) and it can be referenced, we can change it back. - Eron Talk 13:06, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

Eron, thanks. One possibility - things didn't move very quickly at the turn of the last century. Could it be she was named by Victoria before her death, but didn't receive the award until '03? Just a thought. I have no idea where to look to verify this, though. Esseh 21:35, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
