Georgian Bay Line is part of WikiProject Michigan, a WikiProject related to the U.S. state of Michigan.

I can't log in here, but I can assure everyone through personal experience that the SS South American was not made out of wood. She was made of plain old ship's steel, about 3/16" plates and riveted frames. I worked on the ship in 1966, along with a lot of other Cleveland college kids.
