[edit] Merge this with John Lennon article
I feel this should be merged with the existing John Lennon article. I don't think George Smith is notable enough to warrant his own article, the details in this could easily be integrated into John Lennon's article. --NeilEvans 18:29, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
- I disagree--Crestville 13:20, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
-
- I think a merger with Mimi Smith is perfectly in order, possibly also with Julia Lennon to create a combined article on John Lennon's youth. ~ trialsanderrors 01:35, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

- George now has his own citations, and he was just as important as Mimi (if not more so). --andreasegde 20:55, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

I now disagree with myself, because George could go into Mimi's article. Most of the stuff here is in there already, but how would you rename Mimi's page? Mimi & the Milkman? Mimi & that bloke that had a horse and cart? :) Don't forget that Jim and Mary McCartney have no page at all... --andreasegde 09:31, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
- No, stop that, there's more to go in here. --andreasegde 14:38, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Georgie-Porgy
I think George needs some work, because he deserves it. Read the bit about his brother who was killed in France. Poor blighter... --andreasegde 14:09, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] GA
Bugger this; this article should be a GA, if only for the fact that George helped Lennon find his creativity.--andreasegde (talk) 22:41, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
- It has been nominated.--andreasegde (talk) 13:10, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

- Why is this page being reviewed on "/GA1"? It seems a bit strange.--andreasegde (talk) 22:07, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
