Does "opposition spokesman" mean shadow minister? Or is it something different? john 04:26, 8 Dec 2003 (UTC)
Only very roughly. An opposition spokesman on something need not be in the shadow cabinet as a shadow minister, just as a governing party's spokesman on a subject need not be a minister. In practice, most opposition spokespeople will be shadow ministers, though. [Diarmid - 13 Oct 2005]
