I've started this biographical article, not yet added the sections on Sumner the countryman and archaeologist (the "Cuckoo Hill years"). I'm not a big expert on his art, those sections would benefit from attention. I'm not sure about the copyright status of his work (have several books and there are examples elsewhere on the web) so I've not added any illustrations. Would an example be ok under 'fair use'? Main references I've used so far are the introduction to Barry Cunliffe's book Heywood Sumner's Wessex and various things in The New Forest Book: An illustrated anthology edited by James O'Donald Mays.
