This seems like a case of someone (perhaps the artist?) trying to appear younger than he is. For instance, all of the referenced articles (with the exception of AMG) list his birth year as 1966. That also makes sense, as if his birth year was 1971, he would have graduated from high school at age 14 and finished a four-year degree at age 18. (Allmusic also says he finished four years at Vanderbilt and returned to Nashville in 1990, which would put his age at graduation at 18). The numbers just don't add up. The Mitchell article from the Houston Chronicle seems particularly meticulous about the dates (and it's a credible newspaper), so it's unlikely it would be incorrect. -- KathMurillo —Preceding unsigned comment added by KathMurillo (talkcontribs) 04:46, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
