[edit] Peninsula or island?

"Macau was once an island but gradually a connecting sandbar turned into a narrow isthmus." Is it not the case that Macau Peninsula is still part of an island, namely Zhongchan Dao? The quoted statement from the currrent text is not incorrect but might be misleading. jnestorius(talk) 23:38, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
